Hello,
Today my topic is about environment and how green I am.
To start, I think family and school are the most important places to learn about how to take care properly of environment and the earth.

Normal Sydney´s recycling bins
Sadly, I have to say that I used to do a lot of recycling. When I lived abroad I learnt a lot about recycling. I always used different bins for rubbish and separated everything before throwing it away.
It was very normal and easy to get the habit because everyone did it. However, when I came back home it was almost impossible to keep doing it, because here were not the conditions to do a proper recycling. I was so sad when I tried to separate my rubbish without realizing that it was useless as at home we just have one bin for all the rubbish.
Normally, I take the bus or use car so in this way I´m not green at all. I guess it is because Santiago is not a city for cyclist.
I used to support Greenpeace. I am not a current member, though. To be honest I have no a good reason for not being a member.
In the near future I´d would like to be an active member or Greenpeace or at least support them with money. They do a great duty and it is important not to let them alone.
I think recycling is a huge problem in Chile, particularly in Santiago. We have to change our mind and it is also a government task to resolve our current contamination issues which are not few. At the end to have a cleaner planet is everyone´s job!

See you nex time!

  2. in my commune (ñuñoa) there are 2 trucks: one is for garbage, other is for recycling. I think every commune should do that, it makes you recycle because they pick it up from the front of your house, instead of one going to some places to leave the things to recycle... that makes people just throw everything to trash :(
